Resumen
La cultura Cañari está cargada de mucho sincretismo religioso. Además, sus tradiciones se enmarcan dentro de los espacios de su territorio, y se muestran como testigos vivos de la tradición de un pueblo milenario, que hoy en día se integra desde lo indígena y mestizo. Dicha cultura ofrece mucho que estudiar y es por eso que este trabajo se plantea como objetivo mostrar parte de la misma a través de un compendio de su historia mitológica y religiosa. El fin es el de mostrar las características de la cultura Cañari, y cómo su tradición y religiosidad han permeado hasta estos días.
Para hacerlo, se emplea una metodología descriptiva para analizar las características de esta cultura. Los resultados revelan que los cañaris son una cultura milenaria que se mantiene viva, siempre buscando consolidarse dentro de los procesos identitarios de los pueblos. En la actualidad, se observa una conexión entre la tradición y la religiosidad, considerados elementos integradores de una comunidad que busca vivir en plena armonía. Como conclusión, se destaca que los procesos culturales, sociales y religiosos pueden constituir una buena amalgama para cimentar la tradición de un pueblo que aspira a ser recordado y se posiciona como un ente integrador en la sociedad contemporánea.

Abstract
The Cañari culture is deeply infused with religious syncretism. Additionally, its traditions are rooted within the spaces of its territory and stand as living witnesses of the heritage of an ancient people, which today is integrated from both indigenous and mestizo perspectives.
This culture offers much to study, and for that reason, this work aims to present part of it through a compendium of its mythological and religious history. The goal is to highlight the characteristics of the Cañari culture and how its tradition and religiosity have persisted to the present day.
To achieve this, a descriptive methodology is used to analyze the features of this culture. The results reveal that the Cañari are an ancient culture that remains alive, always seeking to consolidate its identity within broader communal processes. Today, a connection between tradition and religiosity can be observed—elements considered as unifying forces within a community striving to live in harmony. In conclusion, it is emphasized that cultural, social, and religious processes can form a strong foundation for sustaining the traditions of a people who aspire to be remembered and to serve as an integrative presence in contemporary society.
