Mantenimiento a vehículos parados por largos periodos de tiempo en épocas de pandemia
Maintenance of idle vehicles during prolonged pandemic periods

Resumen
Debido a la pandemia vivida en este año los vehículos ya no congestionan las calles de la ciudad como antes lo hacían, todo se paralizó, pero se debe tener en cuenta que el mantenimiento que los vehículos deben recibir para evitar averías mientras estén detenidos por largos periodos de tiempo debe ser primordial para tenerlos en óptimas condiciones. En la siguiente investigación se hablará de lo que se debe tomar en cuenta al momento de dar mantenimiento al vehículo, para que el usuario tenga conocimiento de qué revisar en las partes importantes del motor tomando en cuenta el sistema de encendido, lubricación, refrigeración, alimentación y fugas de fluidos en el cárter, mangueras, filtro de gasolina, el estado del filtro de aire, el nivel correcto del líquido hidráulico, líquido refrigerante y aceite del motor. El objetivo de esta investigación es garantizar el buen funcionamiento de las partes del motor y mantener en buen estado del vehículo cuando este se encuentre parado por motivos de confinamiento.

Abstract
The pandemic has significantly reduced urban traffic congestion as vehicles remain stationary for extended periods. However, proper maintenance is crucial to prevent mechanical failures during prolonged inactivity. This study details essential maintenance procedures vehicle owners should perform, focusing on critical engine components including:
ignition systems, lubrication systems, cooling systems, fuel delivery systems, fluid leaks (crankcase, hoses), fuel and air filter conditions, hydraulic fluid, coolant, and oil levels.
The research aims to ensure optimal engine performance and vehicle preservation during confinement periods, providing owners with comprehensive guidelines to maintain their vehicles in proper working condition despite extended disuse.
