Resumen
Las bolsas plásticas fueron creadas por el ingeniero suizo Sten Gustaf Thulin en el año 1959 como una alternativa para resguardar los árboles debido a que eran utilizados para crear las bolsas de papel. Se estima que cada año se consumen alrededor de cinco billones de bolsas plásticas, es decir, diez millones por minuto, las mismas que duran cerca de 55 años en degradarse.
Las nuevas generaciones se han visto comprometidas con el medioambiente y con las futuras descendencias, buscando nuevas alternativas para sustituir este material. Las opciones propuestas por grupos ecologistas son las bolsas de tela, reutilizar las bolsas plásticas, bolsas biodegradables, bolsas de saquillo, bolsas de papel reciclado, etc. Teniendo en cuenta estos factores tan importantes se ha dado iniciativa con el proyecto ECOLOGIC WORLD, con la intención de crear cambio en la ciudadanía visualizando resultados favorables al planeta. Se plantea a las familias la sustitución de las bolsas plásticas por elementos remplazables y reutilizables, entregadas de manera gratuita a cambio de las bolsas plásticas que tengan, con el fin de incentivar al cambio. Esto será realizado en las plazas comerciales de la ciudad de Cuenca como así también en microemprendimientos, los cuales en lugar de facilitar una bolsa de plástico a cada uno de sus clientes se ofrecerá una bolsa de papel o tela.

Abstract
Plastic bags were created by the Swiss engineer Sten Gustaf Thulin in 1959 as an alternative to save trees because they were used to create paper bags. It isestimated that around five trillion plastic bags are consumed every year, i.e. ten million per minute, which take around 55 years to degrade.
The new generations are committed to the environment and to future generations, looking for new alternatives to replace this material. The options proposed by environmental groups are cloth bags, reusing plastic bags, biodegradable bags, sack bags, recycled paper bags, etc. Taking into account these important factors, the ECOLOGIC WORLD project has been launched with the intention of creating a change in the citizens, visualising favourable results for the planet. Families will be asked to replace plastic bags with replaceable and reusable items, given free of charge in exchange for the plastic bags they have, in order to encourage change. This will be carried out in the commercial plazas of the city of Cuenca as well as in micro-enterprises, which instead of providing a plastic bag to each of their customers will be offered a paper or cloth bag.
