El método MONTESSORI, una necesidad en las instituciones educativas públicas de la ciudad de Cuenca

Resumen
El presente artículo pretende mostrar la necesidad de que exista por lo menos una institución educativa pública que aplique en todos sus niveles el método Montessori. Para el desarrollo de este trabajo se ha aplicado la metodología de la observación, a través de las técnicas de visitas de campo a instituciones educativas de la ciudad de Quito que han implementado este método, en las que se visualiza la diferencia del trabajo docente y el aprendizaje significativo de los estudiantes; además de la revisión de fuentes bibliográficas, que permiten comprender mejor cómo ejecutar el método Montessori en las escuelas públicas.
Este trabajo es de importancia para los docentes que estén comprometidos con la educación de las niñas, niños y jóvenes y que se interesen por mejorar su formación.

Abstract
This article aims to show the need for there to be at least one public educational institution that applies the Montessori method at all levels. For the development of this work, the methodology of observation has been applied, through the techniques of field visits to educational institutions in the city of Quito that have implemented this method, in which the difference of the teaching work and the significant learning of the students is visualised; in addition to the review of bibliographical sources, which allow a better understanding of how to implement the Montessori method in public schools.
This work is of importance for teachers who are committed to the education of children and young people and who are interested in improving their training.
