Abstract
The main objective of this research is to describe the process of thawing and transferring bovine embryos, carried out by livestock farmers and teachers during their practical training at the Salesian Agronomic Educational Unit between 2021 and 2022. In addition, the project aims to convey and expand knowledge on the subject, which will be reinforced by field practice in line with advances in the field. The importance of embryo transfer lies in improving the genetics of cattle, on the one hand, and on the other, it can save a considerable amount of time in renewing the herd, so that a new living being is produced with characteristics that would benefit cattle production, as well as the farmers and those responsible for carrying out this procedure. Embryo transfer is a fairly complex technology, which provides a very useful tool because it allows the conservation of embryos of excellent quality for long periods, including the obtaining of fertilized eggs. Sperm that have been stimulated by artificial or natural insemination and insemination of a female donor and transferred under favorable conditions to another that we call the recipient, who is interested in its development.
