Un gran paso a la medicina actual
A big step forward in modern medicine

Resumen
Con el paso del tiempo, los distintos campos sociales y académicos han avanzado, debido a los diferentes factores, y por supuesto, el campo de la medicina no se ha quedado atrás. Mediante técnicas analíticas, métodos científicos o distintos y sugestivos procedimientos, el área de salud ha estado retocando y reformando cada método, proceso y tratamiento. Uno de los más evidentes y colosales problemas que trae consigo el sistema biológico son las innumerables patologías del órgano más importante del sistema circulatorio o también conocido como sistema cardiovascular (corazón).
A causa de los incontables problemas que conlleva este órgano, el ámbito de la medicina ha propuesto diversas soluciones, algunas más efectivas que otras. Entre ellas se encuentran los distinguidos y conocidos trasplantes.
Sin embargo, cada año se presentan un gran número de personas en espera de un nuevo corazón; tristemente, muchos de ellos mueren por su falta, sin mencionar otros factores tales como la compatibilidad con el mismo. Debido a esta fatal cuestión se han optado otras alternativas, entre ellos el reciente experimento ejecutado en EE. UU., el primer trasplante de corazón de cerdo a humano. El propósito de este escrito es informar y dar a conocer un poco más de este curioso e interesante experimento y, por supuesto, sobre los trasplantes en general. Además, motivar a quienes deseen estudiar y ser parte de este numeroso grupo de médicos e investigadores, que trabajan diariamente para brindar a la sociedad un significativo y notable aporte colectivo.

Abstract
Over time, various social and academic fields have advanced due to different factors, and of course, the field of medicine has not been left behind. Through analytical techniques, scientific methods, and various innovative procedures, the health sector has been refining and reforming every method, process, and treatment. One of the most obvious and colossal problems brought about by the biological system is the countless pathologies of the most important organ of the circulatory system, also known as the cardiovascular system (heart).
Due to the countless problems associated with this organ, the field of medicine has proposed various solutions, some more effective than others. Among them are the distinguished and well-known transplants.
However, every year a large number of people are waiting for a new heart; sadly, many of them die because of the lack of availability, not to mention other factors such as compatibility. Due to this fatal issue, other alternatives have been chosen, including the recent experiment carried out in the US, the first heart transplant from a pig to a human. The purpose of this article is to inform and raise awareness about this curious and interesting experiment and, of course, about transplants in general. In addition, it aims to motivate those who wish to study and be part of this large group of doctors and researchers who work daily to provide society with a significant and notable collective contribution.
