Memory

Resumen
La memoria humana es un sistema complejo que se puede dividir en diferentes categorías según la duración, el tipo de información y el proceso de recuperación. Aquí un resumen que cubre algunas de las principales categorías de la memoria y que serán tratadas a lo largo de este trabajo.
- Memoria a corto plazo: Su función es almacenar información de forma temporal.
- Memoria a largo plazo: Su función es almacenar información de manera más permanente.
- Memoria sensorial: Su función es registrar la información sensorial proveniente de los sentidos.
Dentro de la memoria sensorial, existen dos tipos principales:
- Memoria icónica: Se refiere a la memoria visual.
- Memoria ecoica: Se refiere a la memoria auditiva.

Abstract
Human memory is a complex system that can be divided into different categories based on duration, type of information, and retrieval process.
This is a summary that covers some of the main categories of memory, which will be addressed throughout this paper:
- Short-term memory: Its function is to temporarily store information.
- Long-term memory: Its function is to store information more permanently.
- Sensory memory: Its function is to register sensory information coming from the senses.
Within sensory memory, there are two main types:
- Iconic memory: Refers to visual memory.
- Echoic memory: Refers to auditory memory.
