Abstract
Medicinal jellies is a project that aims to raise awareness of the benefits of consuming jellies made from medicinal plants, which is why this project’s slogan is Natural foods that improve my health. As is widely known, nowadays, the use of herbal medicine for the treatment of various ailments has been neglected and replaced by the excessive consumption of drugs. Although these products are effective in treating certain conditions, they can cause some side effects. Therefore, our target consumer group will be children, adolescents, and older adults. We are focusing on children and young people because new types of allergies to certain products are emerging every day. In the case of older adults, we must remember that some of their organs no longer assimilate many substances in adulthood. In addition, many older adults have problems eating as a result of missing teeth or total or partial tooth loss. To make our product, it was necessary to obtain extracts from different medicinal plants and, using a gelatin base, we made the corresponding dosages, obtaining a quality product with a pleasant taste, which was consumed by children and young people.
Keywords: herbal medicine, medicinal plants, gelatin, children, older adults.
