Juventud y democracia: ¿La juventud está interesada en la política?
Youth and democracy: Are young people interested in politics?

Resumen
El Ecuador de los últimos meses ha estado enfocado en las elecciones generales 2021, que se ha convertido en un tema de interés nacional y se cree será trascendente para nuestro futuro, siendo considerada una de las elecciones más importantes en los últimos años para este país. Nosotros desarrollamos un aporte desde lo teórico y también presentamos un análisis hecho sobre la base de una encuesta dirigida a adolescentes y jóvenes que tienen derecho al voto facultativo. A partir de estas encuestas pudimos averiguar qué tan informados se encuentran sobre la política nacional, la importancia que le conceden al voto, qué tanto conocen a los candidatos, su grado de interés por ejercer el voto, entre otros aspectos.

Abstract
Ecuador in recent months has been focused on the 2021 general election, which has become a topic of national interest and is believed to be transcendent for our future, being considered one of the most important elections in recent years for this country. We develop a theoretical contribution and also present an analysis based on a survey of adolescents and young people who have the right to vote. From these surveys we were able to find out how informed they are about national politics, the importance they attach to voting, how well they know the candidates, their degree of interest in voting, among other aspects.
