Resumen
Las mujeres en Medio Oriente son ejemplo de valentía; todos los días viven una realidad tan compleja y llena de limitantes que coartan su manera de vivir y de desarrollarse como personas.
Sus derechos han sido y están siendo violados ya que no pueden expresarse libremente, dirigirse al lugar que ellas deseen, estudiar, viajar, manejar, ni tomar sus propias decisiones sobre su futuro. Sus condiciones de vida están cien por ciento ligadas a los quehaceres domésticos. Un aspecto que ha sido sumamente criticado y puesto como objeto de debate es el código de vestimenta que deben llevar en algunas partes de Medio Oriente.
Este les obliga a llevar su rostro parcial o completamente cubierto por velos. Todas estas condiciones e ideologías están ligadas al machismo, misoginia, patriarcado, desigualdad de género y vulneración de derechos.
Así pues, las pocas mujeres que han alzado su voz y han decidido romper el silencio con el fin de cambiar su estilo de vida han sido calladas, torturadas, apresadas y muchas veces asesinadas.

Abstract
Women in the Middle East are an example of courage; every day they live in a reality that is so complex and full of limitations that restrict their way of living and developing as people.
Their rights have been and are being violated as they cannot express themselves freely, go anywhere they want, study, travel, drive, or make their own decisions about their future. Their living conditions are one hundred percent tied to domestic chores. One aspect that has been highly criticised and debated is the dress code they are required to wear in some parts of the Middle East.
It requires them to wear veils partially or completely covering their faces. All these conditions and ideologies are linked to machismo, misogyny, patriarchy, gender inequality and rights violations.
Thus, the few women who have raised their voices and decided to break the silence in order to change their way of life have been silenced, tortured, imprisoned and often killed.
