The deficiency of the educational system at the school level due to an obsolete methodology in Ecuador

Resumen
Existe un gran problema en el sistema educativo a nivel nacional, donde la educación no ha cambiado en años. Donde se premia quien memoriza mejor y se prioriza más una nota que el aprender. Este debe ser divertido y didáctico, no debe agotarte, ni aburrirte. Los estudiantes deberían estar motivados al aprender, sin embargo, nos es algo que se evidencia en los estudiantes. Se enseña teoría sin un propósito claro sobre su aplicación a la vida cotidiana. Los estudiantes se llegan a preguntar ¿He pasado todo el día estudiando y no he aprendido nada?
El estudiante debe ser innovador, crítico, e independiente, donde aprenda cosas relevantes para su vida cotidiana. Sin embargo, se brindan conocimientos que se olvidan al pasar al siguiente año o que no son de interés para el alumno. Se debería enseñar cosas fundamentales como socializar, como hablar en público, como gestionar nuestras emociones, como tener un correcto vocabulario, como ser un buen líder, cómo funciona el pensamiento humano y entre otras. También se debería enseñar a programar, la economía global, el correcto uso de las TIC, criptomonedas, y entre otros.
El objetivo de las instituciones debe ser crear independencia al estudiante, darle libertad y no seguir estándares globales. Debería profundizar las habilidades y fundamentar la salud mental y física. Existen varios sistemas educativos que han tenido una gran efectividad en otras partes del mundo.
El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo demostrar y analizar la deficiencia del sistema educativo a nivel colegio a causa de una metodología obsoleta en el Ecuador mediante una revisión bibliografía que proponga concientizar y una mejora al sistema educativo.

Abstract
There is a major problem in the national educational system, where education has not changed for years. Memorization is rewarded more than actual learning, and grades are prioritized over understanding. Education should be fun and engaging, not exhausting or boring. Students should be motivated to learn; however, this is not evident in the current student population. Theory is taught without a clear purpose or its application to everyday life. Students often ask themselves, “I’ve spent the whole day studying, but I haven’t learned anything.”
Students should be innovative, critical, and independent, learning things relevant to their daily lives. However, knowledge is often forgotten after the year ends or is simply uninteresting to them. Fundamental skills such as socializing, public speaking, managing emotions, having proper vocabulary, leadership, and understanding human thought should be taught. Additionally, programming, global economics, proper use of ICT, cryptocurrencies, among others, should be included.
The goal of educational institutions should be to foster student independence, provide freedom, and not simply follow global standards. There should be a deeper focus on developing skills and supporting both mental and physical health. Several educational systems have shown great effectiveness in other parts of the world.
This work aims to demonstrate and analyze the deficiencies of the school-level educational system in Ecuador due to an outdated methodology through a literature review, proposing awareness and improvements to the educational system.
