El peso de estudiar en la actualidad
The Burden of Studying Nowadays
Abstract
Today, access to technology and the internet provides us with a vast array of tools and bibliographic material for learning. However, numerous books and notebooks are still used, causing backpacks to become heavy.
This study aims to highlight the physiological problems students face due to this excessive load.
To measure the weight of backpacks, a portable luggage scale was used, taking samples every morning before going to school and upon returning for 30 days.
After processing the data, it was determined that the average load weight was 9.87 kg, which exceeds the recommended maximum of 15% of body weight to avoid issues such as back pain and even lumbar injuries.
Keywords: weight, backpack, scale, back pain.
