Studying and Learning in the Time of COVID-19

Resumen
En este artículo se presentan varios puntos de vista sobre el estudio virtual desde casa y las diferentes situaciones vividas durante la cuarentena decretada por la emergencia nacional a raíz de la pandemia del covid-19. Este trabajo se basó en distintos artículos y sitios web como el UNICEF Ecuador, OMS, MSP, entre otros que han servido como fuente para desarrollar los argumentos. Trata sobre el esfuerzo de padres, madres, docentes y alumnos que han buscado aprender y educar con nuevas estrategias y metodologías para aportar al sistema educativo en el contexto actual. Se aborda también, la falta de insumos tecnológicos en las familias e instituciones lo cual ha dificultado el proceso de aprendizaje en muchos niños, niñas, adolescentes y adultos. La conclusión expresa que tanto instituciones, alumnos y representantes deben adaptarse a esta nueva vida tecnológica con una mejor organización que permita crear hábitos con el fin de sobrellevar de mejor manera esta nueva realidad.

Abstract
This article presents diverse perspectives on virtual home-based learning and the various situations experienced during the nationally mandated quarantine due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Drawing on multiple sources including UNICEF Ecuador, WHO, and MSP reports, it examines the concerted efforts of parents, teachers, and students to develop new educational strategies and methodologies that support the current education system. The paper also addresses how technological resource limitations in households and institutions have hindered the learning process for many children, adolescents, and adults. The conclusion emphasizes that educational institutions, students, and families must collectively adapt to this new technological reality through better organization and habit formation to more effectively navigate this transformed educational landscape.
